Sony Music Artists Nominated at the 2024 BRIT Awards
Sony Music has received an incredible 40 nominations across 13 categories for the BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard, revealed at this afternoon’s Bring On The BRITs livestream show.
Following the long-awaited release of his No.1 album Beautiful and Brutal Yard, J Hus leads the way with four nominations: Artist of The Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year and HipHop/Grime/Rap Act.
Calvin Harris received three nominations for Song of the Year, Dance Act and Pop Act, while Central Cee – one of the most exciting recent additions to the roster – has two nominations for Artist of The Year and HipHop/Grime/Rap Act.
Seven artists have been shortlisted for Song of the Year: Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding ‘Miracle’, Cassö/RAYE/D-Block Europe ‘Prada’, Venbee/Goddard ‘Messy In Heaven’, J Hus ft Drake ‘Who Told You’, Switch Disco ft Ella Henderson ‘React’, Rudimental/Charlotte Plank/Vibe Chemistry ‘Dancing Is Healing’ and Central Cee ‘Let Go’. Bring Me The Horizon have been recognised in the Rock/Alternative category.
The international categories are packed with Sony Music artists, with seven nominations for International Song of the Year: Miley Cyrus ‘Flowers’, SZA ‘Kill Bill’, Libianca ‘People’, Doja Cat ‘Paint The Town Red’, Tate McRae ‘Greedy’, Tyla ‘Water’, and Meghan Trainor ‘Made You Look’. Miley Cyrus and SZA are also nominated in the International Artist of the Year category and Blink-182 and Foo Fighters are up for International Group.
Many congratulations to all of our nominated artists and also to our Sony partners The Orchard, with eight nominations and AWAL with five nominations.
The winners will be announced at the BRIT Awards 2024 on Saturday 2nd March. The ceremony, at The O2 arena, will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
