UD is a Black-led National Youth Music Organisation, based in East London, with a 20+ year track record of driving positive change for a more representative industry. Through its multiple programmes it educates, empowers and creates life opportunities for young people inspired by the sounds, words and rhythms of Black music culture.
Impact at a glance
Sony Music UK’s Social Justice Fund will subsidise the provision of a new 12-month membership scheme for 50 Black music creatives and SME start-ups at UD Music’s Talent House. The membership will provide free access to recording studios, a co-working space, networking and showcasing events, masterclasses as well as business support from industry experts and guest speakers.
