Chiderah is an alternative singer/songwriter, from Nigeria but raised in Hoxton, East London. His music journey started as a teen, under the alias “Marshall the artist” from 2018 – 2021 which allowed him to experiment with sound and genre, and to develop, before finding his lane and sound as an artist. This evolution in sound helped him also reconnect with his roots and change his stage name to his real name ‘Chiderah’.
In August 2023 he released his first official single, “Alive”. This garage inspired song accumulated over 30,000 streams organically across all dsps. Since signing with 5K Records in the summer of 2024, Chiderah has released a further two songs with new music to follow in 2025.
Chiderah takes inspiration from the likes of Labrinth, Maverick Sabre, Fridayy, Sampha, with a sound that would sit alongside the likes of Steve Lacey, Anderson Paak, Sir.
